discarded objects and relics reimagined

My works made of found objects serve as portraits of their environments. The juxtaposition of my materials and the larger forms they take challenge our perceptions of disposability and utility, while the repetition of numerous small forms emphasizes the reality of hyper-consumerism and waste. Found objects embody a history, beginning with production and ending in consumption, to support the pervasive “cradle to grave” phenomenon.

From Miami’s marine debris, pandemic door step deliveries and college campus cans, these materials destined to become global debris have been resurrected to serve another purpose.
